Community Guidelines

Welcome to the Nyongesa Sande Forum. To keep our community a space for high-quality debate and professional growth, all members must follow these guidelines. By participating, you agree to uphold these standards.

1. Be Respectful and Professional

  • Attack Ideas, Not People: Disagreement is healthy, but personal attacks, insults, or “flaming” are not allowed.
  • No Hate Speech: We have zero tolerance for content that promotes discrimination based on race, religion, gender, ethnicity, or disability.
  • Civil Tone: Use language that is constructive. Avoid excessive profanity or aggressive formatting (e.g., ALL CAPS).

2. Quality Over Quantity

  • No Spamming: Do not post the same message across multiple threads. Avoid low-effort posts like “First!” or “Following.”
  • Stay on Topic: Ensure your comments are relevant to the original post. If you want to start a new conversation, create a new thread in the appropriate category.
  • Fact-Check: We value accuracy. If you are sharing news or data, try to provide a source or link to verify your claims.

3. Content Rules

  • English & Kiswahili: To ensure the broadest understanding, please stick to English or Kiswahili unless posting in a specific regional language sub-forum.
  • No Piracy or Illegal Acts: Do not share links to pirated software, leaked documents, or instructions on how to bypass Kenyan laws.
  • Credit Creators: If you are sharing someone else’s work (article, photo, or research), always give proper credit.

4. Safety and Privacy

  • Protect Your Privacy: Do not post your phone number, ID number, or home address in public threads.
  • Respect Others: Do not “dox” other members by revealing their private information without consent.

5. Advertising and Promotion

  • Self-Promotion: We love supporting local entrepreneurs! However, please limit self-promotion to the designated “Marketplace” or “Classifieds” sections.
  • Affiliate Links: Blatant affiliate marketing or “referral link” spam is prohibited unless explicitly authorized by the admins.

6. Reporting and Enforcement

If you see a post that breaks these rules, please use the “Report” button. Do not engage with trolls; let the moderators handle it.

  • First Warning: A polite reminder of the rules.
  • Second Warning: Temporary suspension (24–72 hours).
  • Final Action: Permanent ban for repeat offenders or severe violations (like hate speech).

Our Goal: To remain the most trusted digital hub for Kenyan professionals and thinkers. Let’s build it together.
