You can manage your payment details in Google Chrome using Autofill settings to store and use your cards securely during online payments.

To get started, open Chrome and tap the three-dot menu. Then go to Settings and tap Payment methods.

Here, you will see your saved cards. Tap Add Payment Method to enter a new card’s details such as card number, name, and expiration date.

To edit a card, tap on it and update the information as needed. To remove a card, select it and tap Delete.

Make sure the option Save and fill payment methods is turned on. This allows Chrome to autofill your card details during checkout.

When you are on a payment page, tap the card details field. Chrome will suggest your saved cards. Select one to fill in the information automatically.

For security, your device may require authentication such as Face ID, Touch ID, or your passcode before filling sensitive details.

Add, edit or delete payment and address info that you've saved in Chrome

  1. On your iPhone or iPad, open Chrome Chrome.
  2. Tap More More and then Settings Settings.
  3. Tap Addresses and more or Payment methods.
  4. Edit or delete info:
    • Add:
      1. At the bottom, tap Add address or Add card.
      2. When you've entered your info, at the bottom, tap Done.
    • Edit:
      1. Tap the entry.
      2. At the top right, tap Edit.
      3. When you've changed your info, at the top right, tap Done.
    • Delete:
      1. At the bottom right, tap Edit.
      2. Select the entry.
      3. Tap Delete and then Delete address and then Done.

If you add, edit or delete an address and you’re signed in to Chrome with your Google Account, your changes show up on your other devices where you’re signed in to Chrome with the same account.

If your payment method is saved in Google Pay, you'll need to edit or delete it in Google Pay.

Save address with more info

Important: You can use saved addresses across Google products. This won't change your existing home address. It'll be saved in your Google Account.

When you fill in the form with your updated payment info, you may be prompted to save it in your Google Account.

  1. On your iPhone or iPad, open Chrome Chrome.
  2. Go to a website where you need payment info to fill in.
  3. Enter the required address info.
  4. If prompted, at the top, in the 'Save address', tap Save.
    • If you have any changes before you save, to update the name and email address, tap Save address and then Edit .

Nickname your payment method in Chrome

Important: These steps won't work if you saved the payment method in Google Pay. If you previously saved your payment methods with Google Pay, you're redirected to the Google Pay site to update your info there.

  1. On your iPhone or iPad, open Chrome Chrome.
  2. Tap More More and then Settings Settings and then Payment methods.
  3. Choose the method that you’d like to change.
  4. Select Edit.
  5. Change your payment method details and nickname.
  6. Tap Done.

Tips:

  • If you rename a payment method, it shows when you select a form that uses a saved payment method.
  • Payment method nicknames in Chrome don't transfer to Google Pay. If you save your payment info in Google Pay, you must update it separately.

Stop saving info in Chrome

  1. On your iPhone or iPad, open Chrome Chrome.
  2. Tap More More and then Settings Settings and then Payment methods or Addresses and more.
    • To stop saving payment info: Turn off Save and fill payment methods.
    • To stop saving addresses and contact info: Turn off Save and fill addresses.

Manage the 'Always verify when using autofill' setting

Important: This is a device-level setting. You must turn it on for each device where you want this setting on.

To secure your payment info from others when you share your device, you can turn on verification when you use autofill. This increases your security and protects you against fraudulent activities.

  1. On your iPhone or iPad, open Chrome Chrome.
  2. Tap More More and then Settings Settings and then Payment methods.
  3. Turn Verify that it's you to autofill payment methods on or off.

If the setting is in grey and you can’t turn it on, check if:

  • Your device has a screen lock. To use this setting, make sure that you set up a screen lock.
  • 'Save and fill payment methods' is on.

Tip: When the setting is off, Chrome occasionally verifies your payment method for security purposes.
