You can manage tabs efficiently in Google Chrome on your iPhone or iPad to keep your browsing organized and easy to control.
To open a new tab, tap the tab switcher icon (usually a square or number at the bottom or top of the screen), then tap the + button. This creates a new tab where you can browse.
To switch between tabs, tap the tab switcher icon. You will see all open tabs displayed in a grid or stacked view. Tap any tab to open it instantly.
To close a tab, open the tab switcher and tap the X on the tab you want to close. You can also swipe a tab to the side to close it quickly.
Chrome on iOS supports tab grouping. In the tab switcher, you can organize tabs into groups to keep related pages together. This is useful for separating work, research, or personal browsing.
If you have many tabs open, you can scroll through the tab list or use the search feature (if available) to find a specific tab more quickly.
For private browsing, tap the tab switcher and switch to Incognito mode, then open a new Incognito tab. These tabs do not save browsing history, cookies, or site data after you close them.
To reopen recently closed tabs, tap the three-dot menu and select Recent tabs. From there, you can restore pages you closed earlier.
