DARDESSA Logistics Limited was named in reports as an alleged front company used in a gold-related fraud scheme. According to investigators, the company was linked to communications claiming that a gold consignment had been confiscated and could only be released after payment of certain fees.
The victim was allegedly sent an invoice directing them to pay USD 100,000 as a release fee for the supposed gold consignment. Investigators later alleged that the supporting documents used in the transaction were forged and that the representations surrounding the consignment were fraudulent.
Suspects linked to the alleged scheme were subsequently arraigned following investigations by the Directorate of Criminal Investigations. The claims concerning DARDESSA Logistics Limited and the individuals involved remain subject to the judicial process and should not be treated as final findings of guilt unless proven in court.
