Gratify Solutions International Ltd was named in court proceedings involving Haron Nyakang’o, who was recruited in December 2024 with the promise of a customer-care job in Bangkok paying approximately KSh 180,000 per month. According to the case, he paid about KSh 200,000 to facilitate the employment and travel arrangements.

Instead of receiving the promised job, Nyakang’o was taken to Myanmar, where he was allegedly forced to participate in online fraud operations. The court heard that Gratify Solutions International Ltd had been registered only about two months before facilitating his travel, and directors Virginia Wacheke Muriithi and Ann Njeri Kihara were subsequently found liable in connection with the case.

The court awarded Nyakang’o KSh 5 million in damages, making this more than a community allegation and giving the case a documented judicial outcome. The findings should nevertheless be described precisely according to the court record, distinguishing civil liability from any separate criminal charges or convictions that may involve the company or its directors.
