Kisumu Fish Farming Scheme was reported by complainants as an alleged agricultural investment scam that promised investors returns from fish farming projects in Kisumu County. According to the reports, participants were invited to invest between KSh 50,000 and KSh 200,000 in individual fish pond units that were presented as income-generating agricultural assets.
Complainants alleged that although some ponds existed, they were not operating as represented and were not producing the expected returns. The promoters were also accused of using photographs of established fish farms to market the scheme and create the impression that investors were joining a functioning and profitable aquaculture operation.
The scheme reportedly collapsed while owing investors millions of shillings. The claims concerning Kisumu Fish Farming Scheme are based on complainant reports and should be treated as allegations unless independently verified or established through the appropriate legal or regulatory process.
