VIPortal Kenya, also referred to as VIPortal INC, was reported by Tuko in connection with an alleged investment scheme involving Alfred Wangai Mundia. According to the report, Mundia allegedly collected more than KSh 182.5 million from members of the public between 2013 and 2014 through the VIPortal investment operation.
Tuko reported that investors were attracted with promises of unusually high returns of between 60% and 80%, which were said to be generated through foreign exchange trading. Members of the public reportedly committed funds to the scheme believing that their money would be invested in forex markets and produce the advertised returns.
The allegations involving VIPortal Kenya and Alfred Wangai Mundia are based on Tuko’s reporting and should not be treated as final findings of guilt unless established through the appropriate court process. Members of the public are advised to verify investment firms and unusually high-return opportunities with relevant financial regulators before committing funds.
