Vision 2030 Jobs Portal was reported as an alleged fake government recruitment platform that used Vision 2030 branding to advertise supposed civil service vacancies. According to the report, the portal was designed to appear official and targeted job seekers looking for employment opportunities within the Kenyan government.
Applicants were allegedly asked to pay KSh 5,000 as an “application processing” fee before their applications could proceed. The Government of Kenya later clarified that legitimate public service vacancies are advertised through the Public Service Commission and that applicants are not required to pay fees to submit job applications.
The reported Vision 2030 Jobs Portal should therefore be distinguished from legitimate government recruitment channels. Job seekers are advised to verify vacancies through official government websites and to avoid sending money through unofficial recruitment portals or contacts claiming that payment is required to secure a public service job.
