AERO Logistics was named in reports in connection with an alleged gold fraud scheme involving a purported Sales and Purchase Agreement for 2,820 kilograms of gold. According to investigators, the agreement was presented to the victim as a legitimate commercial transaction involving the purchase and delivery of a large gold consignment.
The victim allegedly transferred a total of USD 1,271,200 between March and May 2024 in connection with the supposed transaction. However, investigators said the promised gold was never delivered. The case was reportedly linked to a wider suspected gold fraud syndicate in which victims collectively lost more than USD 5 million.
Fourteen suspects linked to the alleged syndicate were arrested by the Directorate of Criminal Investigations in January 2025. The claims concerning AERO Logistics and the individuals involved remain allegations subject to investigation and court proceedings and should not be treated as final findings of guilt unless proven in court.
