The Capital Markets Authority (CMA) said the Capital Markets Fraud Investigation Unit was investigating Cytonn High Yield Solutions over alleged criminal violations that may have affected investors. The investigation focused on concerns surrounding the manner in which investment funds were raised and managed.
CMA also warned the public that Cytonn Investments was not licensed or approved by the regulator to offer certain unregulated capital-markets products. The authority stressed the importance of investors confirming whether an investment company or product is properly licensed before committing their money.
The matter remained subject to investigation and the relevant legal and regulatory processes. Investors were advised to exercise caution, verify investment opportunities through official CMA channels, and avoid assuming that all products offered by a well-known investment brand are necessarily regulated or approved by the authority.
