Public Likes, also known as Click and Earn, was listed by Bana among companies it described as pyramid schemes and alleged money-making scams that affected Kenyan investors. The platform reportedly attracted members by promoting opportunities to earn money through online activities and participation in its programme.
According to Bana, Public Likes formed part of a wider group of schemes that allegedly collected large amounts of money from Kenyans before collapsing or becoming unable to meet participants’ expectations. The report estimated that Kenyans lost more than KSh 10 billion to such schemes over a period of about ten years.
The claims against Public Likes should be understood in the context of Bana’s reporting and should not automatically be treated as a judicial finding against the company or individuals associated with it. Potential investors are advised to verify investment opportunities with relevant regulatory authorities before committing money to platforms promising unusually easy or high returns.
